About The Role
We are seeking a talented
Senior Architect
to join our New Delhi studio. This is a strategic leadership role, where you will lead the design and delivery of
high profile projects in India and across the Asia Pacific region
.As a Senior Architect at Populous, you will combine design excellence with leadership in project management, client engagement, and team development. You’ll collaborate closely with India office leaders and international colleagues to deliver projects that meet global standards of innovation and quality, while shaping the growth of our New Delhi office.

What will you be engaged in?
As a Senior Architect, You Will
- Drive design leadership across projects, from concept through delivery, ensuring innovation and excellence in line with Populous’ global standards
- Oversee project delivery, including planning, resource management, and execution of large-scale, complex projects
- Engage with clients as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining strong relationships with developers, government bodies, and private partners
- Team and Office Leadership, mentor and inspire mid-level architects to grow and develop their capabilities and achieve their goals. Important to be able to manage the team and get the desired outcomes, all while working with other office leaders to continue taking the office forward as part of the broader APAC region.
- Collaborate internationally with other Populous studios on joint projects, sharing knowledge and best practices across regions
- Support business development, contributing to proposals, pitches, and thought leadership to expand Populous’ presence in India and APAC
What we are looking for?
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognised institution (Master’s preferred)
- 15+ years of professional experience, including leadership of large-scale, complex projects in sports, entertainment, mixed-use, or public assembly design
- A strong portfolio showcasing design excellence and delivery of complex projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English (Hindi or regional languages a plus)
- Registration as an Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA) in India
- Experience in international projects or with global design firms (preferred)
