Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and student-focused Academic Counsellor to assist students in navigating the study abroad process, from choosing the right course and university to completing applications and visa procedures. The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end support and serve as a reliable advisor to students and parents exploring international education options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Counselling & Support
  • Provide one-on-one counselling to students on study abroad opportunities, including country selection, courses, universities, and career alignment.
  • Guide students on eligibility, admission processes, documentation, and timelines.
  • Help students prepare high-quality application materials including SOPs, LORs, and resumes.
  • Handling Enquiries
  • Must attend incoming enquiry calls from prospective candidates and parents, providing accurate information and addressing their questions effectively.
  • Respond promptly to queries via phone, email, WhatsApp, and other communication platforms.
  • Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns, social media, and walk-ins.
  • Application Process Management
  • Assist students in submitting applications to international institutions.
  • Liaise with university admissions offices for application status and updates.
  • Maintain detailed records of student interactions and application progress.
  • Visa and Pre-Departure Assistance
  • Support students in the visa application process, including document verification and interview preparation.
  • Conduct pre-departure orientations covering accommodation, culture, travel, and academic expectations.
  • Outreach & Events
  • Participate in education fairs, webinars, and info sessions to promote international education services.
  • Represent the organization in student-facing and partner-facing events.
  • Knowledge & Reporting
  • Stay updated with international education trends, university updates, and visa regulations.
  • Maintain reports and dashboards of student cases, application statuses, and conversion ratios.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related fields); Master’s is an asset.
  • Freshers with good closing skill can apply.
  • 1–3 years of experience in counselling or student advisory services, especially for study abroad.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in handling inbound and outbound enquiry calls.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and productivity tools.
  • Basic knowledge of tests like IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
