Role Description:

Veneklasen Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Design Associate to join our dynamic team. This full-time, hybrid position is based in Gurugram or Mumbai, offering flexibility for remote work post-probation. As a Physical Security System Designer, you will be responsible for designing and presenting Physical Security systems, conducting thorough research, leveraging computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and collaborating with electronics to craft bespoke solutions under the guidance of our experienced Security System team.

Key Responsibilities:

Understanding Project Requirements: Collaborate closely with clients and project teams to gather and interpret project needs, goals, and limitations at the outset of the project.

Design and presentation of Physical Security systems tailored to client needs.

Presentation and Stakeholder Management: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients and stakeholders, articulating design intentions and solutions.

Facilitate regular communication, meetings, and workshops to provide expert advice, gather feedback, and ensure smooth project progression.

Preparing the basis of design, technical specifications, space planning for all the Security equipment and technology spaces, Electrical, thermal, and structural load calculation, and conceptual design schemes as per the scope of work. Develop an innovative security system concept design that aligns with project objectives, followed by detailed schematic designs, ensuring the selection of appropriate technologies and system integration with other engineering disciplines.

Design Development: Refine initial designs based on stakeholder feedback, advancing to detailed design documentation that includes preparation of specifications, integration requirements, and compliance with standards and regulations.

Reviewing, approving, and processing all technical submittals.

Prepare preliminary answers to RFI’s related to the assigned work.

Researching to stay ahead of industry trends and technologies.

Utilizing CAD tools for detailed and accurate system designs.

Collaborating with the various teams to ensure system compatibility and efficiency.

Ensuring projects adhere to best practices and industry codes & standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-6 years of hands-on experience in Security Systems design and implementation.

Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) with a solid understanding of CCTV, access control, and physical security systems such as UVSS, boom barriers, and carpark access control, basic electronics, and basic ICT computer networking.

Expert knowledge of applicable codes and regulations

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

Broad knowledge and design experience of Electronic Safety and Security systems.

Excellent command of the English language, both in writing and speaking.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Electronics, Computer Science, IT, etc.).

Valid PSP and IPVM certifications are an added advantage.
