Basic knowledge of customer specific requirements of various automotive OEMs with respect to product characteristics.27. In depth knowledge of product approval & homologation process of various automotive OEMs28. Understanding of various automotive grades and their chemical elements and their end applications and impact of properties and process parameters during product end applications.29. In-depth knowledge of various chemical elements and its implication in product characteristics and final application performance.30. Participate in development of Control Plan31. FMEA for various processes as per ISO 16949:2016 standards.32. Basic knowledge and exposure to 7 QC tools33. Statistical Tools for data analysis34. DMAIC35. Quality Circle Projects36. MSA37. Purpose - Why does this role exist?

Develop a safe work culture through Safety 1st Methodology to achieve zero incidents, implement customer-specific requirements across the plant for GI product, plan and monitor product trials, define metallurgical routes, validate product homologation, and drive new product development and process improvements.

1. Safety Culture: Establish a robust safety-first culture and processes to achieve zero incidents across the plant.
2. Customer Requirements Implementation: Ensure seamless implementation of customer-specific requirements for GI products across the plant.
3. Product Trials and Validation: Plan, execute, and validate product trials at various process stages to ensure product quality and performance.
4. New Product Development: Drive the end-to-end new product development process, from metallurgical route definition to homologation and commercialization.

Critical Tasks (

a. Develop and implement safety-first methodology to achieve zero incidents across the plant.
b. Ensure seamless implementation of customer-specific requirements for GI products across the plant.
c. Plan and monitor trial material volume for CRM#2 automotive complex, schedule and monitor product trials at CGL#3 & CGL#4.
d. Define the metallurgical route for GI products from steel making to final product, and validate product performance at various process stages.
e. Compile trial results, including process parameters and product properties, and submit to customers for approval.
f. Plan, track, and follow up on approval sample preparation and dispatch, ensuring timely customer validation.
g. Validate the homologation process and follow the new product validation process (P0-1-2).
h. Conduct feasibility studies and support process line expansions, collaborate with parent companies for trial material design and process parameter mapping.

Education Qualification & Certifications

B.E. / BTech or Post-graduate in Metallurgy and / Material Science with relevant experience

5+ Years of experience to independently managing GI coated Auto Product development produced from Continuous Galvanizing process
