Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The Scrum Master will be a servant-leader for their Scrum Team, responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide. You will play a crucial role in coaching the team, facilitating Scrum events, and removing impediments to help the team achieve its sprint goals and deliver high-quality increments of value. The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for Agile principles, an excellent facilitator, and is committed to fostering an environment of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1.Facilitation: Facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
2.Servant-Leadership: Act as a servant-leader for the Scrum Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Guide and coach the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices to deliver high-quality products.
3.Impediment Removal: Identify, track, and remove impediments that are preventing the team from achieving its sprint goals. Escalate issues to management when necessary.
4.Coaching & Mentoring: Coach the team members in self-organization and cross-functionality. Help the team create high-value products and improve their effectiveness.
5.Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-managed, refined, and ready for upcoming sprints. Facilitate communication and collaboration between the development team and stakeholders.
6.Process Improvement: Guide the team on a path of continuous improvement by encouraging reflection and experimentation. Help the organization in its Scrum adoption and promote a culture of agility.
7.Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on key team metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time) to provide transparency on the team's progress and help identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
1.3-5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team.
2.Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I/II) is required. Additional certifications (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
3.Deep understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile principles, values, and practices.
4.Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
5.Proven ability to coach and mentor teams to higher levels of maturity and performance.
6.Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
7.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate conflict and remove impediments effectively.
8.Experience working in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) is desirable but not required.
