SAP FI Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document financial accounting processes across general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, and tax to identify optimization opportunities aligned with SAP FI functionality.
• Configure and customize the SAP FI module to support business requirements including financial postings, account determinations, payment programs, and financial close activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in finance, treasury, compliance, and IT to gather business requirements and design efficient financial accounting solutions.
• Conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT), and create training documentation and materials to support user adoption and process alignment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP FI-related functional and technical issues, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.
• Participate in SAP projects such as greenfield implementations, system upgrades, and global rollouts with a focus on financial accounting.
• Ensure proper integration of SAP FI with other modules such as CO (controlling), MM (procurement), and SD (billing).
• Maintain and govern financial master data including chart of accounts, company codes, tax codes, and vendor/customer master records.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with SAP FI in ECC or S/4HANA environments.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles including GL, AR, AP, asset management, tax configuration, and bank accounting.
• Familiarity with integration points between FI and modules such as CO (cost accounting), MM (procure-to-pay), and SD (order-to-cash).
• Experience in configuring financial processes such as automatic payment programs, dunning, foreign currency handling, and financial closing.
• Ability to write functional specifications for reports, enhancements, and financial interfaces.
• Experience with S/4HANA Finance and Fiori apps is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of compliance and audit requirements in multinational or regulated environments is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.
