SAP COPA Consultant

Job Summary:

S/4 HANA COPA Consultant

You will be responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of COPA solutions that enable detailed profitability analysis, margin reporting, and decision-making support across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of

  Account-Based COPA

  in

  SAP S/4 HANA

  .
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into COPA design and functionality.
• Perform end-to-end configuration of COPA including value fields, characteristics, derivation rules, reporting structures, and integration with other SAP modules.
• Ensure accurate data flow from SD, MM, and FI modules into COPA for real-time profitability reporting.
• Develop and execute testing strategies (unit, integration, UAT) and resolve defects or issues.
• Design and build COPA reports using tools such as Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or embedded analytics.
• Support business users during go-live, hyper-care, and post-implementation support.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, and IT, to align system capabilities with business processes.
• Provide training and documentation to end-users and stakeholders.
• Participate in continuous improvement and system optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of

  5+ years of experience

  in SAP Controlling (CO), with at least

  2+ years of experience in S/4 HANA COPA (Account-Based COPA)

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  SAP FI/CO integration

  , especially between COPA and SD/MM.
• Hands-on experience in

  S/4 HANA data modeling, ACDOCA table, and Universal Journal

  concepts.
• Experience with

  reporting tools

  (e.g., Fiori apps, SAP Analytics Cloud) for profitability analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP S/4 HANA certification in Controlling or Financials.
• Experience with Margin Analysis and Predictive Profitability using S/4 HANA tools.
• Exposure to Central Finance (CFIN) COPA integration.
• Knowledge of SAP BPC or Group Reporting is a plus.
• Prior experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods.
