SAP Data Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled SAP Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support enterprise data initiatives, particularly focusing on SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration using tools like SAP BODS, SAP BW/4HANA, or SAP Data Intelligence.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines for SAP and non-SAP systems.Work closely with SAP functional teams and data analysts to understand data requirements.Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using SAP tools.Develop data models and views in SAP HANA/SAP BW.Ensure high data quality and consistency across systems.Monitor and optimize performance of data processes.Automate data workflows and implement robust error handling/logging.Support data migration activities and provide post-implementation support.Required Skills:5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 3 years in SAP data integration.Hands-on experience with SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BODS, or SAP Data Intelligence.Strong SQL and data modeling skills.Experience in Python or other scripting languages is a plus.Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) is preferred.Good understanding of SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI) and their data structures.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
