Role Overview:

SAP Business ByDesign Consultant

freelance contract role

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver client demos showcasing SAP ByD finance and procurement capabilities (P2P, AP, approvals, supplier management, reporting, etc.).
  
• Support discovery workshops and gather requirements from finance, procurement, and commercial stakeholders.
  
• Configure key ByDesign modules including:
  
• General Ledger, AP, AR, Cash & Liquidity
  
• Procurement & purchasing workflows
  
• Supplier onboarding and vendor management
  
• Assist with process design for procure-to-pay, invoice matching, financial approvals, and supplier lifecycle processes.
  
• Prepare and maintain simple documentation (configuration notes, process flows, demo scripts).
  
• Perform end-to-end testing and support UAT activities.
  
• Provide light-touch post-demo support, clarification and solution walkthroughs.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with

  SAP Business ByDesign.

• Solid functional knowledge of

  finance, procurement, and supplier management

  .
• Ability to independently prepare and deliver

  high-quality client demos.

• Good understanding of P2P, AP, GL, budget controls, and approval workflows.
  
• Comfortable running workshops and interacting with senior users.
  
• Ability to work independently in a freelance environment.
  

Desirable Experience:

• Prior experience supporting multi-entity organisations.
  
• Familiarity with data migration, testing steps, or reporting in ByDesign.
  
• Experience in fast-paced or consultancy-style roles.
  

Engagement Details:

• Freelance / Contract role

• Remote with occasional client meetings (if required)
  
• Competitive daily rate depending on experience
