Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
SAP ABAP Developer
to join our onsite SAP technical team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in ABAP development, integration, and enhancement within SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments. The role involves close collaboration with functional teams, solution architects, and business users to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, and interfaces.
- Develop and maintain RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects.
- Work on performance tuning, code optimization, and debugging existing programs.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement SAP enhancements using user exits, BADI, BAPI, and enhancement framework.
- Develop and maintain smart forms, Adobe forms, and ALV reports.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and integration testing activities.
- Ensure adherence to SAP development best practices and organizational coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ABAP technical issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong knowledge of RICEF objects, ABAP OO, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, and Enhancements.
- Hands-on experience with SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and ALV Reports.
- Experience in S/4HANA environment and familiarity with CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services is highly preferred.
- Understanding of SAP integration technologies such as IDocs, RFC, and Proxy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fiori/UI5 integration or SAP Workflow.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and version control (e.g., Git).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
