Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ABAP EWM Senior Developer to join our dynamic SAP team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions within the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) module using ABAP. This role requires a deep technical understanding of EWM processes, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to deliver high-quality, performant solutions that align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and implement complex ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements (BADIs, Enhancement Spots), forms (Smartforms, Adobe Forms), and workflows specific to SAP EWM.
• Possess in-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience with EWM-specific development objects and frameworks, including:
• Post Processing Framework (PPF): Customizing and enhancing actions, conditions, and schedules.
• Radio Frequency (RF) Framework: Developing and enhancing mobile RF screens for warehouse operations.
• Material Flow System (MFS): Integration with automated warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, AS/RS).
• Warehouse Task (WT) and Warehouse Order (WO) processing.
• Warehouse Monitor enhancements and custom dashboards.
• EWM BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits.
• Collaborate effectively with EWM functional consultants to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and robust solutions.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between EWM and other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC/S/4HANA - MM, SD, PP, QM) and external systems using various integration technologies (e.g., IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, OData).
• Perform complex debugging, root cause analysis, and provide effective solutions for issues arising in EWM processes and custom developments.
• Optimize the performance of EWM ABAP programs and solutions, leveraging ABAP on HANA capabilities where applicable.
• Conduct thorough unit testing, support integration testing, and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) for EWM functionalities.
• Adhere to SAP development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP EWM developers.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP EWM functionalities, ABAP technologies, and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Developer with a strong focus on the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) module.
• Proven expertise in ABAP programming, including ABAP Objects.
• Extensive experience with EWM-specific development areas: PPF, RF Framework development, MFS integration.
• Solid understanding of core EWM processes: Inbound (GR, Putaway), Outbound (Picking, Packing, Staging, GI), Internal Warehouse Processes (Internal WT, Replenishment, Physical Inventory), Shipping & Receiving.
• Experience with various integration technologies: IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, and potentially OData for Fiori apps.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for complex EWM scenarios.
• Familiarity with SAP Logistics Execution (LE) and its integration with EWM.
• Experience with performance tuning ABAP code in EWM environments.
• Ability to understand functional specifications and translate them into technical designs.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with S/4HANA EWM implementations.
• Knowledge of ABAP on HANA concepts and CDS Views.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development in the context of EWM.
• SAP EWM certification (functional or technical).
• Experience with other SAP Logistics modules (e.g., TM, QM, PP).
• Exposure to large-scale, complex warehouse automation projects.
