Job Description

Senior Salesforce Functional Lead
Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead requirement workshops and stakeholder discovery sessions to capture business objectives, process flows and acceptance criteria across sales, service and operations functions.
  • Translate business requirements into pragmatic Salesforce solution designs (data model, page layouts, flows, record types, security & sharing rules) and produce clear functional specifications.
  • Own configuration, validations, automation (Lightning Flow, Process Builder replacement patterns), and support the technical team on integration and data-migration approaches.
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery activities: sprint planning, UAT, defect triage, release management and cutover to production in an Agile environment.
  • Act as primary client-facing functional lead — manage expectations, present demos, lead change-management activities, and ensure adoption through training and documentation.
  • Mentor junior consultants, define functional best practices, and contribute to estimations, RFP responses and solution governance.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 5+ years hands-on Salesforce functional experience, with at least 2 years in a lead/consulting role delivering enterprise implementations.
  • Proven experience across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud; Experience Cloud and CPQ exposure is required/preferred depending on project scope.
  • Strong configuration skills (Lightning, Flows, validation rules, security model) and practical understanding of data migration and integration patterns.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills and experience running workshops, UAT and training sessions.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery (Jira/Confluence), release management and writing functional specifications; Salesforce Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent certification preferred.

Preferred

  • CPQ implementation experience, knowledge of Apex/technical constraints, or progress toward Salesforce certifications (Platform App Builder/Consultant/Architect paths).
  • Consulting or client-facing background with exposure to large enterprise programs, ISV integrations or multi-cloud landscapes.
