Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Sales & Proposal Engineer to support business development activities through technical proposal generation and client interactions. This role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing techno-commercial offers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for conveyor and material handling systems projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements from RFQs, layouts, and project discussions.
  
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, BOQs, and costing for conveying systems.
  
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to propose optimal solutions.
  
• Support the sales team in technical discussions, presentations, and site visits.
  
• Interact with procurement and vendors to validate costing and technical feasibility.
  
• Ensure timely submission of proposals and pre-bid documents.
  
• Follow up with clients post-proposal submission to address queries and revisions.
  
• Maintain and update records of proposals, quotations, and conversion rates.
  
• Support participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and pre-sales events.
  

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering.
  
• 28years of experience in technical sales, proposal engineering, or project estimation.
  
• Understanding of industrial automation, conveyor systems, or capital equipment sales.
  
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic layout reading), and costing tools.
  
• Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and on multiple proposals simultaneously.
  
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and site assessments.
  

Preferred Background

• Experience in proposal engineering for conveyor projects or plant automation.
  
• Exposure to automotive or general manufacturing industry projects.
  
• Familiarity with project documentation (RFQ, RFP, BOQ, techno-commercial bid formats).
