Sales Director / Senior Manager - Sales

Role Overview

most senior role in the sales vertical at IncrediPets

You should be someone who:

  • Lives and breathes

    numbers, targets, and conversions

  • Has

    hardcore, hands-on sales experience

  • Has worked in

    startups

    and is comfortable building from scratch
  • Can translate

    strategy into execution

    and execution into

    consistent revenue growth

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Own annual, quarterly, and monthly

    sales targets

    and

    revenue forecasts

    .
  • Develop and execute

    sales strategy

    across channels (B2B, B2C, retail, distribution, online, etc. as applicable at IncrediPets).
  • Identify new markets, segments, and opportunities to drive

    top-line growth

    .
  • Build and monitor

    sales funnels

    , conversion metrics, and performance dashboards.

2. Revenue Ownership & P&L Contribution

  • Take full ownership of

    revenue generation

    and contribution to company

    P&L

    .
  • Set clear

    targets and incentive structures

    for the team aligned to company goals.
  • Track

    CAC, LTV, AOV, and other core sales KPIs

    and optimize for sustainable growth.

3. Leadership & Team Management

  • Build, lead, and mentor a

    high-performing sales team

    (managers, executives, field reps, inside sales, etc.).
  • Drive a culture of

    accountability, discipline, and result-orientation

    .
  • Conduct regular

    performance reviews, target setting, and coaching sessions

    with team members.

4. Process, Systems & Reporting

  • Set up and refine sales

    processes, pipelines, and operating rhythms

    (reviews, reporting, follow-ups).
  • Implement or optimize

    CRM tools

    and data-driven decision-making.
  • Build structured

    MIS and dashboards

    to review performance with leadership.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with

    Marketing

    to align campaigns with sales priorities.
  • Collaborate with

    Operations & Supply

    to ensure inventory, delivery capability, and service quality support sales growth.
  • Partner with

    Product & Customer Success

    to incorporate customer feedback into offerings and improve retention.

Desired Profile

Experience:

  • 5-8 years

    of total experience in

    hardcore sales

    .
  • Minimum

    35 years in a senior sales leadership role

  • Startup experience is mandatory

    – should have worked in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Experience in

    B2C, consumer brands, pet care, FMCG, or similar sectors

    will be a plus (not mandatory).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong

    number orientation

    – comfortable with sales math, funnel metrics, and financial impact.
  • Proven track record of

    hitting and exceeding aggressive revenue targets

    .
  • Hands-on experience in

    sales planning, GTM, channel development, and territory management

    .
  • Excellent

    negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management

    skills.
  • Ability to

    build and scale teams

    , not just manage them.
  • Strong

    problem-solving and decision-making

    skills with a bias for action.
  • Comfort with

    ambiguity and ownership

    – typical of early-stage and growth-stage startups.

Education

  • Graduate in any discipline; MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing or related field preferred, not mandatory if experience is strong.
