A Sales Manager in a travel company with a minimum of 5 years of experience is responsible for developing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth, with a strong emphasis on the travel industry's unique requirements.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Sales Strategy & Planning:

    Develop, implement, and monitor sales plans and budgets specific to travel products and target markets.
  • Business Development:

    Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through networking, trade shows, sales calls, and partnerships with agents and corporations.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, travel agencies, and agents to maximize market share and customer loyalty.
  • Market Analysis:

    Analyze competitor offerings, market trends, and customer needs to ensure the company’s products remain competitive and relevant.
  • Team Leadership:

    Mentor, train, and guide junior sales staff, promoting best practices in sales and customer service within the travel context.
  • Sales Execution:

    Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets set by management, including managing the sales pipeline and submitting accurate sales reports.
  • Product Promotion:

    Coordinate with marketing and product teams to promote travel packages, offers, and destination-specific campaigns to agents and direct customers.
  • Problem Solving:

    Address and resolve client issues, complaints, and unforeseen challenges related to travel bookings or packages.
  • Financial Oversight:

    Ensure timely follow-up on payments and coordinate with accounts for revenue tracking from agents and clients.


Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in the travel industry, with proven results in business growth.
  • Thorough understanding of travel products, packages, and industry regulations.
  • Proven negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
