Sales Manager | Scientific & Optical Instruments

Position: Sales Manager – Scientific & Optical Measurement Instruments

Location: Hyderabad; (travel across India required)

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies for optical/scientific instrumentation in India.

Identify and engage customers in LED & lighting, display & automotive testing, broadcast, R&D labs, calibration labs, and academia.

Manage the entire sales cycle: lead generation, technical presentations, demos, proposals, negotiation, and closure.

Handle government tenders (GeM, PSU, universities, research institutes).

Coordinate with channel partners and international principals.

Maintain sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline using CRM/Excel.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and technical workshops.

Candidate Profile (Eligibility Criteria)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electronics, Optics, or Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation).

Master’s or MBA preferred (with strong technical base).

Experience:

5–8 years in technical sales of scientific/analytical instruments, spectroscopy, or optical measurement equipment.

Track record in high-value B2B sales (₹15–50 lakhs+).

Exposure to government tenders, PSU sales, and academic institutions is essential.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with optics, spectroscopy, radiometry, color science, and CIE standards.

Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both scientists and procurement teams.

Skills:

Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and networking ability.

Experience with CRM tools or disciplined sales reporting.

Willingness to travel extensively across India.
