Job Title:

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Development

  • Identify, target, and acquire new clients for

    contract logistics, warehousing, and distribution services

    .
  • Conduct field visits, client meetings, site surveys, and solution presentations.
  • Develop a strong sales pipeline and achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets.

2. Solution Selling & Proposal Development

  • Work closely with operations, pricing, and solution design teams to prepare proposals.
  • Understand warehouse operations (B2B/B2C), inventory management, manpower models, and SLAs.
  • Create optimized commercials, rate cards, and pricing strategies.

3. Contracting & Negotiation

  • Lead commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and closure of deals.
  • Understand key commercial terms:
    • Rent, utilities, and storage charges
    • Handling rates
    • Manpower costing
    • Transportation & last-mile costs
    • Minimum Guarantee (MG) / Minimum Billable
    • KPIs, SLAs, penalties, ramp-up terms

4. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements.
  • Provide inputs on pricing and solution strategy.

5. Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain accurate data in CRM tools and track funnel movement.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and present them to management.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3- 8+ years

    of experience in

    Contract Logistics / Warehousing Sales / 3PL Sales

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    warehousing operations

    ,

    inventory processes

    ,

    SOPs

    , and

    commercial models

    .
  • Proven track record in

    sales field

    and

    closing B2B logistics deals

    .
  • Ability to understand customer supply chain and propose tailored solutions.
  • Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience dealing with FMCG, FMCD, E-commerce, Pharma, Retail clients is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of

    P&L

    , costing, and operational feasibility.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • MBA is an added advantage, but not mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in field and customer-facing roles.
  • Strong network in logistics and warehousing industry.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance, solution design).
  • Should have previously managed sales for

    contract logistics businesses

    in a 3PL setup.
