Key Responsibilities: Safety Management & Shop Floor Oversight: Supervise daily activities to identify unsafe acts/conditions and promptly resolve them in consultation with shop floor in-charges. Monitor and enforce compliance to safety procedures, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards across all shop floors. Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote continual safety awareness. Prepare and maintain statutory registers and records, such as accident registers, Form 07 health register, and daily safety observation logs. Legal & Governmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to all HSE statutory compliances and liaise with government agencies as required. Submit online data to MPCB portals for water cess, environmental monitoring, hazardous waste returns, and annual environmental statements. Health & Medical Coordination: Arrange annual health check-ups for employees and ensure proper maintenance of related health records. Coordinate with hospitals and healthcare providers for treatment of injured workers and medical emergencies. Equipment, Tools & Contractor Management: Oversee inspection and servicing of firefighting equipment; coordinate with vendors for refilling and maintenance. Deal with Third-Party Inspection (TPI) agencies for annual tool and tackle inspections. Coordinate with the stores department for the replacement of damaged PPEs, tools, and tackles. Skills & Qualifications: Technical & Functional Skills: Sound knowledge of Indian HSE laws, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards. Ability to conduct HIRA, safety audits, accident investigations, and emergency response planning. Familiarity with MPCB online submission systems and hazardous waste management rules. Behavioral Competencies: Strong leadership qualities and confident personality with the ability to enforce compliance assertively.
