Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving primary & secondary sales, managing distributor networks, leading the sales team, and ensuring market expansion across Varanasi & nearby districts. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, improving market share, and executing trade marketing initiatives in line with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Management

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the region.

Conduct regular sales forecasting and market analysis.

Monitor and control trade schemes, pricing, and discounts.

2. Distributor & Channel Management

Appoint and manage distributors, super-stockists, and sub-distributors.

Ensure distributor ROI, stock norms, timely claims settlement, and infrastructure compliance.

Conduct monthly business reviews with distributors.

Expand distribution in semi-urban and rural markets around Varanasi.

3. Team Leadership

Lead, motivate, and train a team of Sales Officers/TSIs/Sales Executives.

Conduct joint field working and performance reviews.

Ensure territory coverage, beat planning & productivity.

4. Market Expansion & Execution

Identify new market opportunities and drive numeric & weighted distribution.

Ensure strong visibility through merchandising and trade marketing activities.

Manage modern trade, key accounts, and institutional sales in the region.

Drive new product launches with on-ground activation.

5. Reporting & Compliance

Submit timely MIS reports, competitor analysis, and sales dashboards.

Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and brand guidelines.

Monitor credit limits and outstanding payments.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of FMCG/Beverage sales & distribution

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making

Ability to manage large territories and multi-tier distribution networks

Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS tools & CRM/SFA apps
