Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical needs assessments and site surveys to understand client requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and project teams to develop proposals, solution diagrams, and system designs.
  • Present AV solutions to clients, translating technical language into business value and ROI.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge of AV systems, including control systems, signal processing, video conferencing, networked AV, and display technologies.
  • Train and mentor sales team members on AV technologies and solution positioning.
  • Manage key vendor relationships and stay current on AV product innovations and certifications.
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work, budgets, and timelines for proposals.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFQs with detailed, technically sound documentation.
  • Support post-sale transition to project management, ensuring expectations are clearly defined and met.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and pipeline reports, and achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, events, and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's/bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in AV sales, account management, or a related role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of AV solutions, including video conferencing, control systems, and integration.

Required Skills

  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets with a consultative sales approach.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to assess client needs and offer tailored AV solutions.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and AV design tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in managing complex AV projects.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies.
