Job Title: Sales Lead Work Days & Timings: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM 07:00 PM Experience Required: Minimum 4+ years in sales, preferably in B2B e-commerce or related industries. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Sales Lead to oversee end-to-end sales operations for both the buyer and seller segments in our B2B e-commerce marketplace for educational institutions. This role requires expertise in driving revenue, acquiring new clients, managing a high-performing sales team, and handling client escalations effectively. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets while ensuring seamless coordination between buyers and sellers. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to drive seller acquisition and buyer engagement. Identify and approach potential sellers, present the platforms value proposition, negotiate deals, and onboard them for paid subscriptions. Acquire buyers (educational institutions), understand their procurement needs, and ensure their requirements are posted and fulfilled through the platform. Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to meet sales targets. Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and generate reports to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvement areas. Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to enhance seller and buyer engagement. Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge. Ensure strict adherence to sales processes, policies, and reporting guidelines while fostering a results-driven sales culture. Handle escalations and client interactions, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Conduct interviews for potential inside sales executives and participate in the hiring process. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum 4+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably in B2B e-commerce, marketplace, or tech-driven environments. Strong ability to achieve and exceed sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Leadership skills to motivate and manage a sales team effectively. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. Highly self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented mindset. Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
