Job Description

Sales Executive Hydraulic Seals

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reporting To: Sales Manager

Primary Objective:

To drive sales of hydraulic seals by identifying opportunities, understanding customer needs, and providing technical and commercial support, ultimately contributing to business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in targeted industrial sectors (hydraulics, construction machinery, mining, etc.).
  • Generate leads through customer visits, market intelligence, trade shows, and networking.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals to prospective clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management.

Technical Expertise

  • Understand the technical specifications and application of hydraulic seals.
  • Provide technical consultation to customers on the selection, installation, and usage of seals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and new sealing technologies.
  • Collaborate with R&D or product development teams to address custom sealing requirements.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular follow-ups, feedback collection, and service support.
  • Address customer complaints or queries related to product performance or application.
  • Ensure timely order processing, delivery coordination, and payment follow-ups.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
  • Submit regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and customer feedback.
  • Provide monthly forecasts and assist in planning inventory and production needs.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with the production, dispatch, and quality teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with the finance/accounts team for credit limits, invoicing, and collections.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, quotations, orders, and technical support provided.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and safety standards.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in sealing solutions, hydraulics, or industrial products.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and seal designs (O-rings, U-cups, wipers, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory.
