Job Description
Position : Sales / Business Development - Sales Engineer ( Experience - 2-5 years )
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Sales Engineer with a background in Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage his/her technical knowledge to understand customer needs and deliver customized solutions, while also driving sales efforts. You will act as the technical bridge between the company and the customer, providing expert guidance on industrial automation and instrumentation engineering products and services.
Responsibilities:
Engage with prospective and existing clients to assess their industrial automation and instrumentation engineering needs and propose suitable solutions.
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site surveys to better understand client requirements and showcase how our solutions can address those needs.
Work closely with the engineering and product teams to develop tailored solutions based on client specifications.
Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotes, and presentations that clearly outline Service specifications, benefits, and pricing.
Provide technical support during the sales process, answering questions and addressing concerns related to product performance, installation, and integration.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies to meet sales targets and expand the client base.
Manage the entire sales cycle from an initial inquiry through to closing the deal, ensuring smooth transitions to post-sale support.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor products in the industrial automation and instrumentation engineering sectors.
Attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events to promote products and maintain professional networks.
Ensure the sales targets are achieved and keep the zest of growth upwards.
Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve any technical issues, and maintain long-term client relationships.
Requirements:
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and creative skills, with demonstrable experience in creating high-quality content.
Bachelor's degree/ Diploma / B.Sc. in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales or technical roles within the instrumentation engineering, or industrial sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation and instrumentation products, systems, and solutions.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical clients.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to offer innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Experience with proposal writing, preparing technical documentation, and delivering client presentations.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve sales objectives.
Awareness of CRM / sales funnel shall be an added advantage.
