Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer with experience in drive units for material handling systems to join our growing team. This role involves managing technical sales, cultivating strong customer relationships, and providing expert guidance on motorized conveyor rollers and related drive solutions across industries such as logistics, packaging, food processing, airports, warehousing, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering and a proven track record in B2B industrial sales.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for drive units in target industries.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, and client meetings.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.

Technical Expertise

  • Provide customers with technical recommendations on motorized conveyor roller selection, sizing, and application suitability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to offer customized drive unit solutions.
  • Conduct product training for clients, distributors, and partners.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with the service team for advanced support.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, OEMs, and distributors.
  • Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Visit customer sites for consultations, surveys, and follow-ups.

Market Research & Strategy

  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and emerging technologies in conveyor drive units.
  • Provide insights to management on pricing, product development, and market strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–6 years of experience in sales of industrial equipment, preferably:
  • Motorized conveyor rollers
  • Conveyor components
  • Material handling systems
  • Industrial motors or automation solutions

Skills

  • Strong technical understanding of conveyor drive units, belt conveyors, and drive systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand customer technical requirements and convert them into sales.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and technical documentation.
  • Drum motor sales preferred.
  • Valid driving license preferred.
