The Opportunity

Join Applova, a Silicon Valley-based tech startup revolutionizing the restaurant industry with innovative SaaS solutions. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you'll be the frontline powerhouse fueling our growth by booking high-quality appointments for our Account Executives (AEs). You'll qualify leads, nurture prospects, and build a robust pipeline for our order-ahead apps, web ordering platforms, and self-ordering kiosks targeting small and medium-sized US restaurants (QSRs, cafes, regional chains). Based in Chennai, you'll thrive in a high-energy co-working environment during US working hours, collaborating with a tight-knit team to drive Applova's mission of empowering SMB restaurants to thrive in a competitive market.

This role is perfect for ambitious SDRs with 12 years in product-based SaaS sales who love the thrill of high-volume outreach and turning cold leads into hot opportunities. You'll report to the Inside Sales Manager and partner directly with AEs to hit appointment targets, paving the way for deals that transform restaurant operations. With our 10-day onboarding and weekly coaching, you'll ramp up fast and grow into an AE role as you crush your goals.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and Engage

    : Hunt for leads using Apollo.io, Hunter.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and social media, targeting 150+ dials/day and 4060 prospects/week in assigned US territories (SMB restaurants).
  • Qualify and Book

    : Run discovery calls to qualify leads with BANT criteria, book 2030 qualified appointments/week for AEs, and nurture non-ready leads with personalized follow-ups (emails, SMS, calls).
  • Build Pipeline

    : Maintain a 3X pipeline ratio (leads to appointments) in CRM, logging all interactions accurately to support AE handoffs and hit 1015% book-to-close rates.
  • Multi-Channel Outreach

    : Execute a 710 day cadence with 68 touchpoints across calls, emails, SMS, and social (LinkedIn messaging) to maximize response rates.
  • Collaborate and Optimize

    : Join weekly pipeline reviews with the Inside Sales Manager and AEs, share insights on restaurant pain points (e.g., long lines, inconsistent revenue), and refine strategies to boost conversion.
  • Foster Team Culture

    : Participate in monthly team outings, mentor junior SDRs on best practices, and contribute to a high-performance, night-shift team vibe.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience

    : 12 years as an SDR in a product-based SaaS company, with proven success in appointment setting (20+ books/week) and pipeline building (3X ratio).
  • Sales Hustle

    : Comfortable with 150+ dials/day; expert in cold outreach, lead qualification (BANT), and multi-channel engagement; track record of turning prospects into booked meetings.
  • Tool Proficiency

    : Hands-on with Apollo.io, Hunter.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoho/Salesforce CRM, or similar; quick to master RingCentral, Calendly, and email automation tools.
  • Communication

    : Exceptional English proficiency with persuasive phone/email skills; cultural sensitivity for US SMB restaurant owners (e.g., QSRs, cafes).
  • Adaptability

    : Thrive in US night shifts (7:00 PM4:00 AM IST) in our Chennai co-working space (Taramani, The Hive); manage fast-paced cycles with a positive mindsetno cabs or meals provided.
  • Cultural Fit

    : Team player, coachable, and passionate about empowering US SMB restaurants with Applova's solutions; analytical to maintain pipeline health.
  • Analytical Skills

    : Strong problem-solving to forecast pipeline and optimize outreach for KPIs.
