We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator - ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) to manage and oversee the daily operations of our ETP plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient treatment of industrial wastewater, adherence to environmental regulations, and maintaining the plant's optimal performance. Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of the ETP plant, ensuring effective treatment of industrial wastewater prior to discharge into the environment. Monitor and manage the treatment of industrial wastewater to ensure strict compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, standards, and permits. Operate and maintain the ETP plant including, but not limited to, pumps, motors, filters, and other treatment equipment. This involves managing the proper use and inventory of chemicals and other materials critical to the treatment process. Conduct regular inspections and testing of the wastewater at various stages of treatment to ensure proper purification and safe discharge. This includes performing routine laboratory tests and analyses. Troubleshoot operational issues within the ETP plant and implement corrective actions promptly. Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records on the performance of the ETP plant. This includes data on water quality parameters, chemical usage, plant efficiency, maintenance logs, and any incidents or deviations. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures related to ETP operations and chemical handling. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and coordination. Requirements: Proven experience in operating and maintaining an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and relevant environmental regulations. Proficiency in conducting water quality tests and interpreting results. Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures. Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs. Excellent record-keeping and report-preparation skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to environmental compliance. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant technical qualification (e.g., Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent).
