Machine Operator ( Steel Coil Slitting/ Cut to Length CTL )

As a Steel Coil Slitting Machine Operator, your role will involve setting up and operating the machine as per work orders and production schedules. You will be responsible for loading and unloading coils using overhead cranes or forklifts. Additionally, adjusting slitting knives and tooling to ensure accurate widths and tolerances will be a key part of your responsibilities. Monitoring machine operation to detect malfunctions or product defects and performing quality checks to ensure slit coils meet specifications such as width, burr, camber, and edge condition will be essential. You will also be required to maintain accurate production and inspection records, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot minor machine issues. Following all safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, collaborating with team members, and communicating effectively with supervisors are crucial aspects of this role. Keeping the work area clean and organized is also expected from you.
