Safety Officer

Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, 1948, State Factory Rules, and other applicable safety regulations.
• Implement and monitor occupational health and safety policies across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with PPE usage, machine guarding, and safe work practices.

Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment

• Identify workplace hazards related to machinery, compressors, pressure systems, electrical equipment, welding, and material handling.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals, lubricants, refrigerants, and compressed air systems.

Safety Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
• Organize regular toolbox talks, mock drills, and safety training sessions.
• Promote a strong safety culture among employees.

Accident Prevention & Investigation

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Prepare incident investigation reports and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accident and incident records as per statutory requirements.

Fire & Emergency Management

• Implement fire safety systems, emergency evacuation plans, and mock drills.
• Ensure availability and maintenance of fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits.
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain safety records, registers, permits, and compliance documents.
• Prepare and submit safety reports to management and statutory authorities.
• Coordinate during factory inspections and audits.

Contractor & Vendor Safety

• Ensure contractors follow safety standards and site safety rules.
• Conduct safety briefings before commencement of contractor work.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or equivalent.
• Certification in Industrial Safety (ADIS / DIS / NEBOSH preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety standards
• Understanding of compressed air systems and pressure equipment safety
• Good communication and training skills
• Ability to conduct audits and risk assessments
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 (added advantage)

Reporting To

• General Manager (Operations)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
