Key Responsibilities
Develop and update safety policies, procedures, and emergency plans, ensuring adherence to local, state, and national regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement preventive measures (like PPE management, hazardous material handling).
Organize and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and drills for all staff, promoting a proactive safety mindset.
Perform routine site inspections and audits to check for unsafe conditions or practices.
Investigate accidents, near misses, and occupational diseases, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, incidents, and compliance data.
Coordinate with management, employees, safety committees, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and test emergency response plans and coordinate emergency responses.
