Safety Officer

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and practices across all project phases.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the Project Management Team in ensuring contractor compliance with safety regulations, project safety plans, and industry best practices.
• Review and approve contractors’ HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and ensure their effective implementation.
• Organize and deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and inductions for all workers on-site.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for internal and client review.
• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and contractors on all HSE-related matters.
• Ensure strict adherence to local safety laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
• Promote a positive safety culture across all project stakeholders.
• Provide advice to project managers on health and safety issues and support in project risk management.

Skill Set Required

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Officer qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) are mandatory.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a PMC, construction, or infrastructure environment.
• In-depth knowledge of local HSE laws, standards, and international best practices.
• Strong ability to prepare clear and detailed HSE documentation and reports.
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and lead incident investigations.
