Position Overview

The Safety Officer / Executive will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving safety systems across chemical manufacturing units. The role ensures compliance with statutory safety regulations, promotes safety culture, and manages risk mitigation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations (Factories Act, GPCB, PESO, etc.).
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, HIRA, JSA, and risk assessments.
• Implement and monitor safety SOPs, permit-to-work systems, and hazard controls.
• Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, mock drills, and emergency preparedness training.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare RCA & CAPA reports.
• Monitor firefighting systems, safety equipment, and PPE compliance.
• Maintain safety MIS, documentation, and reports for audits & regulatory checks.
• Support process safety initiatives across Units
• Required Qualifications

Education (Any one mandatory):

• Diploma / B.E. in Chemical Engineering
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry
• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

+ PDIS / ADIS (Compulsory)

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 5 years in Safety roles within Chemical, Petrochemical industries.

• Fire & emergency management
• Documentation & regulatory reporting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
