Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems at project sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and Method Statements for high-risk activities.
• Monitor site activities to ensure proper use of PPE, safe work practices, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks for workers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to promote a safety-first culture.
• Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports as per company and client requirements.
• Liaise with external agencies, consultants, and statutory bodies regarding compliance and audits.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil) with specialization in Industrial Safety or NEBOSH / IOSH certification.
• Minimum [X] years of experience as a Safety Engineer, preferably in construction/interiors/projects industry.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health & safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations, risk management, and incident investigations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
