Safety Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Safety Engineer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards at construction sites to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and site safety plans
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company HSE standards
• Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for workers and staff
• Monitor usage of PPE and safe work practices at site
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommendations
• Coordinate with project and contractor teams to maintain safety standards
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and records
• Ensure emergency preparedness and response procedures at site

Desired Candidate Profile:

• BE/BTech/Diploma in Engineering (preferably Civil / Mechanical)
• Certification in Safety (NEBOSH / IOSH / ADIS / Diploma in Industrial Safety
• 4+ years of experience in Real Estate Developer or Construction Company
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and statutory norms
• Experience in residential/commercial real estate projects preferred
