Job Summary/Objective

We are looking for Junior Royalty Analyst who will work with the Royalty team and will be responsible for analyzing, calculating and processing of royalty statements and ensuring accuracy in Royalty reporting. This role involves working with financial data, and licensing agreements to ensure the right holders receive correct payments. The ideal candidate will work closely with the finance, legal and other business teams to ensure accuracy in timely royalty reporting and must hold strong analytical skills, attention to details, interpret complex contracts and experience with financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare licensor statements on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.
  • Calculate royalties based on sales, expenses, revenue sharing and licensor agreement’s terms and conditions.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty calculations and payments.
  • Reconciliation of royalty statements with financial records and sales data.
  • Tracking and payment of advances, recoupments, reserves, liquidation and revenue sharing allocations and payment schedules.
  • Sending statements to the Licensors and responding to Licensor’s inquiries over mail.
  • Preparation of month end and quarter end statements.
  • Assist in Audit by providing required documentations.

Essential Qualifications/Competencies

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree / MBA in Accounting / Finance(Preferred).
  • 1-3 years royalty accounting / accounting, financial analysis or a similar experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot table, VLOOKUP, Formulas, etc.)
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills in English.
  • International based experience will be preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment.
  • Work hours – Should be flexible to work in US hours as and when needed.
