What We Offer

This position is regionally anchored within the IMEA region (based in Bangalore). As a Rewards Specialist, you will be embedded in a collaborative, diverse, and international environment, with the opportunity to:

  • Drive the delivery of compensation and benefits solutions across multiple countries.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and compliant rewards delivery.
  • Contribute to shaping and improving employee experience through effective Rewards programs.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Delivery

  • Coordinate and support the annual compensation review cycle (Anual Salary Review) across assigned countries.
  • Assist in preparing salary proposals and conducting internal equity and market benchmarking.
  • Support budget development in partnership with People and Finance teams.
  • Help maintain job levelling consistency across the region and ensure alignment with global frameworks.

Benefits Management

  • Manage the operational delivery of employee benefits, including enrolment, renewals, and vendor engagement.
  • Support benefits design, benchmarking, and compliance across the region.
  • Maintain accurate benefits documentation and ensure systems (e.g., SharePoint, Benefits Lighthouse) are up to date.
  • Contribute to employee communication and awareness campaigns related to benefits offerings.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with compensation and benefits policies, local legislation, and internal controls.
  • Participate in internal audits, bargaining council activities, and regulatory reviews where required.
  • Monitor market trends and legislative changes affecting pay and benefits practices in the region.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and advisor to People Partners, Business Partners, and other HR functions.
  • Act as a liaison between the region and the Global Rewards Centre of Excellence (CoE) for project rollouts and escalations.
  • Build effective working relationships with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and external benefits vendors.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improving rewards processes, systems, and tools.
  • Contribute to rewards-related projects and the deployment of global initiatives.
  • Share best practices and support knowledge building within the wider People function.

Who We Are Looking For

Experience & Expertise

  • 3-5 years of experience in Rewards, Compensation, or Benefits within a multinational organisation.
  • Exposure to multiple countries within IMEA, preferably including unionised and non-unionised environments.
  • Experience in job levelling, pay structure management, and benefits operations.
  • Familiarity with bargaining council practices and labour legislation in emerging markets.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with attention to detail.
  • Project coordination experience with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and work across cultures.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.

Additional Information

  • Reports to: FLPO Rewards Manager – IMEA.
  • This role may evolve in scope as Maersk transitions from transformation to steady-state HR operations.
