Job Description Training MIS / Support Staff
Position Title: Training MIS / Support Staff
Department: Learning & Development (L&D)
Reporting To: Central Training Head / Training Manager
Location: Head Office (with occasional regional travel, if required)
Purpose of the Role
The Training MIS / Support Staff acts as the operational backbone of the Learning & Development
(L&D) function. Apart from maintaining training data and dashboards, this role is a task master
responsible for ensuring smooth coordination with stores, trainers, and other stakeholders. The role
ensures timely updates, accurate reporting, and seamless execution of training programs across the
retail network.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training MIS & Reporting
• Own end-to-end training MIS by consolidating attendance, completion, assessment scores,
and feedback.
• Develop and publish daily/weekly/monthly reports to management and stakeholders.
• Track and highlight training completion gaps store-wise, zone-wise, and escalate delays
proactively.
• Link training dashboards to business outcomes such as sales uplift, mystery audit scores,
NPS, and staff attrition.
2. Task Master & Stakeholder Coordination
• Act as the single point of contact for stores, trainers, HR, and operations regarding training
schedules and updates.
• Follow up rigorously with store managers and regional teams to ensure training
nominations, participation, and assessment submissions are on time.
• Ensure zero delays in training reports by chasing pending inputs from stakeholders.
• Coordinate between trainers and business teams for smooth execution of central and
regional training programs.
3. Training Logistics & Execution Support
• Manage training calendars and circulate schedules in advance.
• Coordinate training logistics including venues, digital links, materials, and participant lists.
• Ensure training aids (projectors, handbooks, assessments, e-learning access) are ready prior
to every session.
• Support new joiner induction programs by handling checklists, attendance, and reporting.
4. Assessment & Feedback Management
• Create and manage online/offline assessments, ensuring timely participation.
• Collect, compile, and analyze participant and trainer feedback.
• Publish actionable insights and recommend corrective actions to the Central Trainer /
Training Head.
5. LMS / Digital Learning Support
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS): upload content, assign modules, and
generate completion reports.
• Monitor and chase pending e-learning completions, ensuring stores adhere to deadlines.
• Troubleshoot basic user queries related to digital platforms.
6. Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain complete records of training sessions, certifications, and evaluation forms.
• Ensure readiness for internal/external audits by keeping training documentation updated.
• Track compliance-based training (mandatory certifications, safety, POS training) and report
gaps.
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong command of MS Excel & PowerPoint (dashboards, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).
• Knowledge of Google Forms, digital dashboards, and LMS tools.
• Excellent coordination and follow-up skills; ability to chase stakeholders firmly yet
professionally.
• Strong task orientation — ability to ensure deadlines are met without compromise.
• Analytical mindset for connecting training data to business outcomes.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive communicator.
Qualifications & Experience
• Graduate in Business Administration / HR / Commerce / IT.
• 2–4 years of experience in MIS, HR analytics, or L&D coordination (preferably in retail).
• Exposure to multi-stakeholder coordination across regions/stores is highly desirable.
