Retail and Store Manager

le & responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead the operations of our sports retail store in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports retail, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing high-performing retail teams. This role requires a strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset, operational excellence, and a passion for sports and an active lifestyle. Key Responsibilities: Manage overall store operations to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning Drive sales and profitability through effective team management and customer engagement Recruit, train, and mentor store staff to ensure high performance and growth Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times Maintain optimal inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams Analyze sales data and KPIs to improve store performance Implement visual merchandising and product display strategies Ensure compliance with health & safety, and company policies Plan in-store marketing and promotional events in coordination with the marketing team Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently and professionally Preferred candidate profile : Minimum 8 years of experience in retail, with at least 3 years as a Store Manager in a sports retail environment Candidate exposure should be in PUMA, Adidas , Nike Retail stores Strong understanding of sports retail products and customer expectations Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment Knowledge of inventory management and POS systems Passion for sports and fitness is a strong plus
