Position Overview

The Host / Hostess is the first face of Artjuna that guests encounter. This role requires a friendly, confident, and well-presented individual who can make every guest feel instantly welcome, comfortable, and valued.

As a brand ambassador, the Host/Hostess ensures that each guest experience begins and ends with genuine warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail — setting the tone for the Artjuna experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Reception & Seating

• Warmly welcome all guests entering the café/restaurant with a genuine smile.
• Manage guest seating, waitlists, and reservations with professionalism and efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of table availability and coordinate with the service team to optimize flow.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus or assist with initial information.

Brand Representation

• Reflect the Artjuna brand personality — warm, approachable, creative, and confident.
• Maintain grooming, posture, and communication standards that align with Artjuna’s aesthetic and ethos.
• Act as a “vibe curator” — helping guests feel relaxed, cared for, and connected to the café’s energy.

Communication & Coordination

• Coordinate with the service, kitchen, and bar teams for smooth guest management.
• Handle guest inquiries about menus, events, or specials.
• Update the Reservation Sheet and communicate key guest preferences or feedback to managers.
• Assist in collecting guest feedback or comments.

Operational Support

• Assist with café displays, merchandising counters, or event setups when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the entrance, waiting, and host desk areas.
• Manage takeaway orders, phone calls, and basic POS functions if required.
• Support during events, workshops, or special evenings at the café.

Qualities & Personality

• Naturally hospitable, warm, and respectful to all guests and team members.
• Excellent communication skills — articulate, attentive, and confident.
• Strong sense of presentation and grooming.
• Creative and adaptable — enjoys connecting with diverse people.
• Calm under pressure and solution-oriented.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a host/hostess, front desk, or guest relations role in F&B or hospitality.
• Fluent in English (knowledge of Hindi and Konkani preferred).
• Flexible to work morning and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Good understanding of restaurant operations and guest handling.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
