Restaurant Captain

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations, supervising the restaurant team, and ensuring exceptional guest service. This role acts as a liaison between guests and the kitchen, coordinates service flow, and ensures that dining standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of waitstaff and service attendants
• Assign tables and manage floor seating during service hours
• Take guest orders when necessary and ensure orders are delivered correctly and promptly
• Resolve guest complaints or service issues efficiently and courteously
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
• Assist with training and mentoring new team members
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth food and beverage operations
• Oversee table settings, cleanliness, and overall dining ambiance
• Maintain accurate billing and ensure smooth guest checkouts
• Monitor inventory levels of dining supplies and report shortages

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree/diploma in hospitality is preferred
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Guest-focused with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant software

• Physically fit; able to stand and walk for long periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
