Job Description

Job Title ;Research Engineer

Company: ARAI

Dept: HTC-

Location: Chakan, Pune

Role & responsibilities

Execute performance, endurance, thermal, vibration, and durability testing of traction motors and controllers for EV, rail, and industrial applications.
Operate, configure, and program advanced testing equipment to achieve test objectives.
Analyze test data and prepare comprehensive reports.
Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, technical feasibility, progress reviews, and result discussions.
Coordinate with stakeholders for equipment calibration and maintenance activities.
Travel to customer locations to support on-site testing and validation.

Required Skills

Practical experience with dynamometers, test benches, and data acquisition systems.
Strong knowledge of motor technologies such as BLDC, PMSM, and induction motors.
Familiarity with motor control systems, power electronics, and instrumentation.
Understanding of calibration procedures and ability to review calibration certificates.
Knowledge of quality management standards including ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
Proficient in MS Office tools like Excel and Word.

Good to Have:

Knowledge of Indian automotive traction motor standards (AIS 041, AIS 102 Part 1 & 2, AIS 137, AIS 123 series, ECE R85:2018).
