Research Engineer (IMPC)

ARAI, Pune is a premier Automotive Research Institute, with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, involved in R&D, Homologation, Testing & Certification, Calibration & Skill Development services to Automotive and Allied industries globally.

We are looking for the following position for our Inspection & Maintenance Project Cell (IMPC) Department:

Designation: Research Engineer (IMPC) – Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical – (ARAI Contract) - 03 Nos.

Location: Kothrud, Pune

We are seeking an experienced BE - Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in project management, AutoCAD & also have knowledge of Central Motor Vehicle Rules & Automotive Industry Standards. The role requires travel within Maharashtra and India.

Job Description:

Project Management: Manage projects from conception to completion under the supervision & guidance of seniors.
Proposal and Report Writing: Prepare proposals, reports, and other documentation as per requirements.
Tender Evaluation: Evaluate tenders from contractors and architects, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Site Visit:

• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Assistance in verification of Equipment on site as per available list of equipment
• Assistance in Installation and commissioning of Vehicle Test lane Equipment

Audit: Undertaking Auditing assignments as per CMVR
Government/private entities Liaison: Liaise with government authorities, RTO, and other stakeholders
Communication and Presentation: Develop strong verbal and written communication skills, and deliver effective presentations to stakeholders.

Training: Deliver Presentations during RTO training programs

Requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Skills:

AutoCAD, Microsoft Office tools
Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel within Maharashtra and India.

Knowledge:

Central Motor Vehicle Rules & Automotive Industry Standards
Government tendering procedures and regulations.
Installation & Commissioning of equipment.
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001

Preparation of proposals, reports, and other documentation.
