Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research and Development Associate at Uno Hotels based in New Delhi. The Research and Development Associate will be responsible for conducting research, developing new products and services, performing tests, analyzing data, and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders. Daily tasks will also include collaborating with other departments to support innovation and development within the organization.


A Research and Development (R&D) Associate in the hotel industry typically operates within the corporate or corporate-supported property level, driving innovation and process optimization. The role blends market research, product development, guest experience enhancement, and operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Market & Trend Analysis: Benchmark competitors, track global hospitality trends, and identify guest behavior patterns to inform product/service innovations.
  • Concept Development: Assist in creating new F&B concepts, wellness programs, room designs, or technology integrations aligned with brand positioning.
  • Sustainability & ESG Projects: Research eco-friendly solutions (energy efficiency, waste reduction, sustainable sourcing) to improve brand reputation and meet compliance requirements.
  • Technology Integration: Pilot digital tools (AI-driven guest services, smart rooms, self-check-in kiosks) and gather data on ROI.
  • Guest Experience Testing: Conduct focus groups, prototype testing, and gather guest/employee feedback for continuous refinement.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify and test innovations to reduce cost-per-occupied-room (CPOR), streamline housekeeping, or optimize procurement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations, marketing, design, and culinary teams to roll out new initiatives.
