Job Title: Sr. AWS Cloud Architect

Location: 100% REMOTE - Offshore India

Employment Type: Contract / Full Time

AWS Services Expertise:

• Compute:

  Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda (serverless), Amazon ECS/EKS (containers), AWS Fargate.

• Storage:

  Amazon S3, Amazon EBS, Amazon RDS (various database engines like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora), Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon EFS.

• Networking & Content Delivery:

  Amazon VPC, Amazon Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Amazon CloudFront, AWS Direct Connect, AWS VPN.

• Security, Identity, & Compliance:

  AWS IAM, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), AWS WAF, AWS Shield, AWS Security Hub, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon GuardDuty.

• Management & Governance:

  AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudFormation, AWS Config, AWS Systems Manager, AWS Organizations.

• Databases:

  Strong understanding of relational (RDS, Aurora) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases, and when to use each.

• Migration Services:

  AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS Migration Hub.

AWS Well-Architected Framework:

• Deep understanding and practical application of the six pillars: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability. This is crucial for building robust, scalable, and cost-effective solutions for clients.

Cloud Architecture & Design Patterns:

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical AWS solutions.
• Experience with multi-tier architectures, microservices, and serverless patterns.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance strategies.
• Knowledge of networking best practices, including VPC design, subnets, routing, and security groups.

Communication & Client Management:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Strong client-facing skills, including conducting workshops, presenting solutions, and managing expectations.

Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

• A strong analytical mind to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in AWS environments.
• Ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions to customer challenges.

Project Management Fundamentals:

• Understanding of project lifecycles and ability to manage tasks, timelines, and deliverables. (While not a full PM role, a consultant often needs to manage their own technical workstreams).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.

Adaptability & Continuous Learning:

• The AWS ecosystem is constantly evolving, so a consultant must be eager to learn new services, features, and best practices.
• Ability to adapt to different client environments and requirements.

Certifications (Highly Recommended):

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate:

  A great baseline for anyone designing solutions on AWS.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional:

  Indicates a higher level of expertise in complex architectural designs.

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional:

  If you foresee a strong need for CI/CD, automation, and operational excellence.

• AWS Certified Security - Specialty:

  Crucial for managing sensitive data and ensuring robust security for SaaS offerings.

• AWS Certified Database - Specialty:

  If database migrations and optimizations are a significant part of the work.
