Job Title: Openstack Cloud Solutions Architect with strong Kubernetes, Openstack and Cloud Native Technology Location: India based 100% REMOTE Employment Type: Long Term Contract Contract Length: 16 to 24 months About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team to help onboard and support customers using Managed OpenStack and Managed Kubernetes products. As a Solutions Architect, you will be the key technical contact for our customers, guiding them through their journey of adopting and scaling with our cloud native platforms. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, architect tailored solutions, and ensure successful integration and deployment. Additionally, you will deliver timely professional services solutions to customers based on the gathered requirements agreed upon timelines and defined success criteria. In this role, you will lead and execute VMware to OpenStack migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions, minimal downtime, and optimal performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and IT administrators, to deliver innovative solutions for enterprise-level cloud infrastructure modernization. Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical onboarding process for customers using Managed OpenStack and Managed Kubernetes. Collaborate with customers to understand their infrastructure requirements and design optimal cloud-native solutions. Provide expert guidance on the use of OpenStack, Kubernetes, and related cloud-native technologies. Offer strategic guidance on OpenStack and Kubernetes architecture, including network design, storage solutions, and compute resource management. Educate customers on best practices for managing and maintaining OpenStack and Kubernetes infrastructure, including upgrades, monitoring, scaling and operational efficiency. Implement automation solutions to streamline deployments using Go, Python, Bash and CI/CD best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during customer onboarding and ongoing usage. Deliver expert services solutions to existing customers in accordance with a statement of work document in a timely fashion and with utmost attention to detail. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve the customer experience and provide feedback on features and product improvements. Provide continuous feedback to internal Quality Assurance teams on product usability, testing requirements and customer usage patterns. Deliver technical workshops, demos, and training to customers. Qualifications: Expertise in Kubernetes: Deep knowledge of managing, deploying, and scaling cloud-native infrastructure technologies. Experience with Cloud-Native Technologies : A solid understanding of the cloud-native landscape, including CI/CD, containers, microservices, and cloud infrastructure management. OpenStack Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with OpenStack, including deployments, operations, and optimizations. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a production OpenStack environment. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts including networking, storage, compute, and security within OpenStack. Automation Skills: Proficiency in writing automation scripts in Go, Python, Bash to streamline operational tasks. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and DevOps best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. 5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes. Experience with managed services or SaaS platforms is a plus. Experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments is a plus. Job Title: Data Center Migration Project Manager with OpenStack, VMware and Kubernetes - 100% REMOTE - US EST/PST Work Shift Location: India based 100% REMOTE Employment Type: Full Time Contract Length: 20 to 24 months Project Summary: They have 4 data centers around the globe where most of the servers live. There are ~100 other locations that house servers also (smaller) This project is to migrate 40,000 virtual machines (virtual servers) from their existing on-premise VMware vSphere environment to a new OpenStack virtualization platform residing on technology. This is a virtual server to virtual server migration. The servers are a combination of Windows and Linux servers. Will be responsible for the initial setup of the virtualization servers on-premise The management plane lives in the cloud but manages all of the servers on-premise. Will be responsible for managing the infrastructure once this is implemented. iShift's responsibility is the actual migration of the servers/workloads. This will require coordination of internal and external resources and intense scheduling to maintain a very aggressive and tight timeline.
