Position Summary


Relationship / Sales Manager – Defence Programs & Institutional Sales


The candidate may be either:


  • A

    retired Indian Navy officer

    with relevant experience in provisioning, procurement, or logistics operations, or
  • A

    civilian professional

    with a solid understanding of

    defence procurement systems

    and prior experience in institutional or government sales.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage relationships with

    defence procurement, provisioning, and logistics departments

    across Navy and Army.
  • Lead and coordinate all institutional sales efforts, including documentation, proposals, and order follow-ups.
  • Build long-term engagement with decision-makers in

    Mumbai, Vizag, and Delhi

    to ensure consistent demand and supply.
  • Track ongoing trials, supply status, and approval processes across relevant commands.
  • Identify opportunities to expand DefMate’s presence through new product categories or operational programs.
  • Ensure timely communication, compliance, and documentation in alignment with defence protocols.
  • Provide regular feedback and insights to the CEO to guide strategic planning and future institutional initiatives.



Candidate Profile


  • Background:

    Retired

    Indian Navy officer

    (preferred) with procurement/logistics exposure or a

    civilian professional

    with 10–15 years of experience in defence or institutional sales.
  • Knowledge:

    In-depth understanding of

    defence procurement processes

    , documentation, and hierarchical workflows.
  • Network:

    Established relationships within the

    Navy (Mumbai, Vizag, Delhi)

    or other defence procurement setups.
  • Skills:

    Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation capabilities.
  • Attributes:

    Responsible, proactive, and mission-driven; comfortable working across departments and hierarchies.
  • Preference:

    Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
