Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining the Ethics & Independence (E&I) team, which is crucial for safeguarding the firm's reputation and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your role as a Manager in Ethics & Independence will involve overseeing compliance with independence and conflict management policies, providing expert guidance on ethical matters, and contributing to policy evolution and implementation. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Policy Oversight: - Interpret, implement, and enhance the firm's Ethics & Independence framework in alignment with global and local regulatory standards. - Drive firm-wide initiatives to enhance conflict check processes and implement monitoring controls. - Advisory: - Advise client-facing teams on complex independence matters and conflict resolution. - Provide expert opinions on ethical matters involving public interest entities and emerging compliance scenarios. - Conflict & Risk Management: - Supervise conflict checks and independence clearance processes for large-scale engagements. - Lead the resolution of high-risk ethical scenarios involving multi-jurisdictional relationships. - Governance & Quality Assurance: - Monitor quality and timeliness of conflict reports and independence memos. - Conduct internal reviews to assess adherence to ethics frameworks. - Technology & Data Management: - Oversee the utilization of conflict management tools and independence databases. - Drive initiatives to enhance data quality and workflow efficiency. - Stakeholder Engagement: - Serve as a liaison between the E&I team and senior leadership. - Provide updates on risk exposure, conflict trends, and resolution strategies. - Team Management: - Lead and mentor a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Associates. - Focus on upskilling the team on regulatory and ethical developments. - Training & Communication: - Design and conduct training sessions for client teams and new joiners. - Communicate policy changes firm-wide through structured strategies. Qualification Required: - Chartered Accountant or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Risk, Law, or related discipline. - 8-12 years of experience in Ethics & Independence, Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory Advisory roles. - Relevant certifications in Risk, Compliance, or Ethics are a plus. - Prior experience in a Big 4 firm preferred. - Technical & Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of auditor independence requirements, expertise in conflict management systems, and strong Excel skills.,
