Regional Travel Manager

As a Travel & Expense Team Regional Travel Manager for APAC at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Travel team and ensuring world-class travel services across the region. Your responsibilities will include: - Delivering best-in-class travel operations across the APAC region - Partnering with the Global Operations Lead of Travel to implement global travel strategy and standards in APAC - Engaging directly with travelers, executive assistants, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure compliance with travel policies - Collaborating with the Travel Management Company and Online Booking Tool to drive performance improvements - Providing end-to-end support for VIP and Executive Travel, ensuring real-time coordination and crisis management capabilities - Developing relationships with the Barclays user and stakeholder groups to ensure beneficial feedback flows To be successful in this role, you should have: - Subject matter expertise in delivering operational excellence across APAC and India - Proven years of experience in corporate travel management, especially in financial services or large multinationals - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Strong financial acumen in managing large travel budgets - Proficiency with travel management systems, online booking tools, and expense platforms - Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and respond to short-term requests effectively - Experience in managing, developing, and motivating regional teams for service delivery Highly Valued Skills may include: - Experience in Banking, Finance Global Capability Centre preferred - Good written & verbal communication skills - Team leading experience of at least 7-10 headcount required In addition to the above, the purpose of the role is to manage operations within a business area, maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant regulators. Your accountabilities will include identifying trends, managing operations, collaborating with stakeholders, managing professionals, developing KPIs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. If you are a Vice President, you will contribute to setting strategies, drive requirements, manage and maintain policies, deliver continuous improvements, and demonstrate leadership behaviors. For an individual contributor, you will be a subject matter expert guiding technical direction, leading multi-year assignments, and training less experienced specialists.
