Job Description

Role Overview: As the Sales Manager in the Animal Health Division, your primary responsibility will be to oversee sales operations in the regional Operations. You will be tasked with consolidating the regional operation into a profitable entity by leading and developing the Area Sales Managers (ASM) and Veterinary Sales Officers (VSO). Your goal is to hire ASM / VSOs and complete the expansion program by the end of 2017 while achieving the set sales and collection targets for all states. Your reputation and contacts in the industry will play a crucial role in your success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Manage, direct, and guide the VSOs effectively. - Oversee and guide all activities within your region, ensuring that the team maintains discipline and professionalism in their interactions with customers. - Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive sales in the region. - Ensure consistent business revenue sales and efficient collections. - Identify and appoint competent stockiest and monitor their performance through VSOs. - Keep track of competitor activities and provide updates to the product development and marketing team. - Engage in monthly sales planning and forecasting for all regions. - Create a strategy for active participation in the institutional business segment. - Coordinate and organize launch events to introduce new products or expand into new areas. - Undertake any other sales-related tasks as assigned by the management. - Prepare and present the Rolling Sales Plan. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the animal health industry. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team effectively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships. - Strategic thinking and the ability to devise and implement sales strategies. - Good understanding of sales planning, forecasting, and competitor analysis. - Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and drive business growth. - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree would be an added advantage.
