Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – GT / FMCG

Role Objective

leading microfiber & car/home-care brand

Key Responsibilities

1) Distribution Development

  • Appoint & onboard

    Super Stockists, Distributors and Sub-Distributors

    across key districts.
  • Ensure

    coverage expansion

    : Urban → Tier-2 → Tier-3 → Semi-Urban retail.
  • Achieve full

    RTM (Route-to-Market)

    setup including van coverage where required.
  • Ensure distributor ROI, stock hygiene, reorder cycles and credit discipline.

2) Sales Execution & Growth

  • Deliver

    monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets

    for the state.
  • Drive

    primary (distributor orders)

    and

    secondary (retail sales)

    .
  • Increase

    Numeric Distribution (ND)

    and

    Weighted Distribution (WD)

    .
  • Ensure

    minimum 65–75% distributor repeat-order rate

    month-on-month.

3) Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train and lead

    Territory Sales Executives / Sales Officers

    .
  • Conduct

    market working

    , route riding, in-shop coaching.
  • Performance tracking (Beat plan adherence, strike rate, outlet conversions).

4) Market Activation

  • Execute

    promotions, schemes, sampling and awareness activities

    .
  • Drive merchandising & visibility: racks, danglers, POP, branding in stores.
  • Work closely with

    tele-calling lead generation

    team for lead → appointment → closure flow.

5) Data & Reporting

  • Maintain

    Sales Dashboard

    , Distributor Scorecard & Beat Tracker.
  • Weekly reporting to

    NSH

    (pipeline, closures, attrition risk, credit status).
  • Competitor pricing & activation intelligence.

Experience Required

5–10 years

  • Strong

    market opening

    and

    state rollout capability

  • Ability to

    negotiate distributor commercials

  • Hands-on in market working (not desk-only manager)
  • Analytical & structured reporting discipline
  • High ownership, grounded attitude, strong relationship skills

Compensation

  • Fixed Salary: (depending on experience & region)
