1. Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager – Institutional & Government Sales to drive business growth across North India. The Regional Sales Manager will drive revenue growth, lead regional sales activities, manage state-level teams, and ensure consistent run-rate business across assigned territories. The role requires strong technical understanding, leadership capabilities, and proven experience in Government, Institutional, and Project Sales.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Manage, mentor, and guide Sales Executives/Managers across regions.
  • Along with team leadership, the candidate should be capable of independently managing major accounts.
  • Conduct regular reviews on funnel status, client visits, and target achievement.
  • Build a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs and accountability.
  • Support team members in closures of high-value opportunities.
  • Ensure discipline in reporting, documentation, and sales processes.

B. Business Development & Run-Rate Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain strong run-rate business through consistent funnel management.
  • Identify and convert opportunities in Government, PSU, Institutional, and Corporate sectors.
  • Strengthen channel and SI partnerships across the region.
  • Drive market penetration and enhance brand presence.

C. Government & Project Sales

  • Expertise in government procurement norms, tendering, and project sales cycles.
  • Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation, compliance sheets, and documentation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with the GeM Portal—bidding, listing, pricing, and order management.
  • Coordinate with OEMs for technical support and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor tender alerts and ensure timely participation and submissions.

D. Territory & Client Management

  • Travel extensively across assigned territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments, consultants, OEMs, SIs, and enterprise clients.
  • Track market intelligence and competitor activities.
  • Support clients with technical clarifications, presentations, and proposal walkthroughs.

E. Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with Technical, Service, Logistics, and Finance teams for smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate MIS, forecasts, funnel reports, and collection updates.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ethics, and compliance standards.

3. Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Diploma (ECE, Electrical, Electronics, IT) or MBA in Sales & Marketing.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Government / Project Sales, with 3–5 years in a managerial or regional role.
  • Preferred Age: 35–45 years.
  • Experience in IT, Education, Security, Office Automation, or Telecom with a strong technical profile.
  • Proven experience in B2B Sales, Direct Sales, Government Sales, and team handling.
  • Strong understanding of tendering, BOQ preparation, procurement norms, and GeM operations.
  • Ability to manage multi-state teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi, with strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage high-value project cycles.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Owning a four-wheeler is mandatory.
